Wendy M. Johnson, Esq.

Wendy M. Johnson serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for JFG Family Office. As General Counsel and CCO, Wendy is part of the leadership team contributing to the firm’s vision and strategy. She is responsible for the firm’s compliance program to ensure that clients are protected in all aspects including financial, privacy, and cyber security. Wendy was also instrumental in the planning and strategy that restructured the single-family office into the multi-family office it is today.

Wendy received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law. Prior to her doctorate, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas where she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau.

Wendy sits on the Board of Trustees for the Yellowstone Community Foundation in Big Sky, MT. She is also co-founder and director of the Brandon & Wendy Johnson Family Foundation, which is a Denver based private philanthropic foundation that supports numerous charitable organizations throughout the region including Children’s Hospital Colorado and UC Health.  Wendy is also a proud member of Stand Together Ventures.

Wendy has been invited to participate in several industry conferences and events. In 2019, she was a guest speaker at SEC’s Rocky Mountain Securities Conference and in 2018 spoke on a national webinar for NCS Regulatory Compliance (now ACA).

Wendy loves spending time and adventuring with her amazing husband and two beautiful daughters.  She loves Colorado and spending time outdoors.  Horses are her true passion, and she enjoys trail riding and competing in hunter/jumper shows, as well as mountain biking, cooking, hiking, skiing, and trail running.
